Pocket Resume - The Original CV Builder App Reviews

Its a very nice app and it does exactly what i was hoping it would. It easy to use, but produces a great looking and professional resume in the end. I will definitely be using this one to help me land my next job.

Nice clean and simple app. Super handy to have the resume at my fingertips. Add some style choices and allow the contact phone number to be formatted better. Oh and allow the user to name the "Other" bullet list with something like "interests" or "hobbies" etc.

I think this app works fine, there are some bugs that are annoying but defiantly a good start and I cant complain for $0.99. I work in HR and I have been testing several other resume creation apps in the store and I think this one is probably the second best of the ones currently available. A great alternative is TapTapWorks, resuMe Editor, it is 1 dollar more but you get many more features than Pocket Resume defiantly also defiantly worth a look. In general good start. Other features I would like to see are more layouts and more options to customize your resume, especially the other section.

This app would work great if the work experience glitch was fixed. Hard to explain what is really the problem but its moving job titles for one job to the top where it doesnt belong. So frustrating!!

The app is easy to use and nicely layout but has a few bugs that hopefully will be fix (eg. Phone number should show dash between numbers). I really hope the developer can add more professional and rich looking templates for the layout. This one look a bit dated and boring ;) I will come back to give my full 5 star review if they fix this.

Spent an hour building a resume, lost all of my bullets. Crap.

This app gets the job done. Its simple and doesnt have hundreds of templates but what can you expect from a 1$ app??? Latest version fixes early on bugs and works great. I havent had any problems with the ordering problem some mentioned. Overall, very satisfied with the app.

The only problem Im having is that Ive used up all sections and renamed sections but cant add an extra section for my References. If this can be fixed this would be an excelent app! Highly recommend for everyone who want a really good resume and on the fly. Very easy to use and works well. Ill be looking forward to updates, keep up the good work!

Just tested the new upgrade and in my opinion it is a great app. Once you complete the initial typing of the resume, you can simply email it to Company on the fly at any time. There is one small error in the app as follows: "The 3rd line of the Education section do not come into the review page, and when you put all the data in the 2nd line to compensate, it runs over too far into the date area". Not a big deal, but it needs to be fixed.

If you hate writing resumes and just want a simple app to guide you through it ... This is it. The final result is a ridiculously nice pdf. Ive tried a few pdf generating apps on iphone and none of them come close. Word doesnt even come close. But, If you want a lot of detailed features and complicated ways to modify the resume ... You might want to look elsewhere. Finally -- to the developer : give us more templates! :)

I was looking for exactly this kind of app to manage my resume on my iPhone. Its sooooo great!!! The PDF looks awesome and I can easily update my resume without hassle. This is it -- couldnt ask for more.

Really like this app. Although, it would be nice if you could attach a cover letter!!! Also, would be nice to write "references available upon request" at the bottom.

This is cool but what would take it to another level would be the ability to pull data from a linkedin profile, perhaps in a future update. All said it is nifty and a good way to keep a resume handy for when you meet the right person at a meeting or conference.

This is a pretty good app. It would be nice if we could edit or customize our own templates. Other than that good job!

Ive tried a number of these and this is the best resume app in my opinion. There are issues though. The function which changes the order of the categories doesnt work. The program has unexpectedly quit a number of times. Also, it would be helpful of I could add additional "other" categories. I will change my rating to 5 stars once the bugs are fixed.

I find that certain things do not line up properly. The education and work experience sections are not formatted as well as they should be. The name of the institution that you attended or worked for is not clear.

If only more people knew about this app, this has got to be one of the quickest and intuitive ways to craft a resume.

Great job....... Just need landscape mode, cover letter and spell check. Oh, and hurry it up!

I think app. is great, very simple and the end document is very professional. As mentioned before a cover letter version would be SWEET! Worth the $3 :)
